As e-sports, video gaming, and adult themes become more popular, established streaming platforms such as Twitch and Mixer have continued to forcibly restrict their users and streamers, limiting their freedom through censorship. Our technology is different. We have taken a ground-up approach to coding Plexstorm with better tools, user interface, and on modern technology. The gaming industry has surpassed music and movies in revenue ($80B combined), generating over $116 billion in 2017, with estimates to grow past $150B by the end of 2020. The top five markets by country (in order of revenue generated) are China, United States, Japan, Germany, and the United Kingdom.
Over 609 million people watched gaming content in 2016, and that number is expected to reach 743 million in 2019. Streaming platform Twitch is estimated to be worth $20 billion in 2020. Over $60M in revenue was generated by Twitch partners from ad revenue and subscriptions in 2015. The Twitch “cheering” feature generated over $10M in revenue in just 10 months. Twitch’s userbase grew by 197% in 2017.
